Clove is a major spice product of Wayanad and is world famous for its superior quality. Wayanadan cloves are Bold and Rich, Reddish Brown in colour, Smells spicy with fresh feeling and Tastes strong sweet with a bitterness.
At Wayanadcraft, Clove is grown naturally in our own plantation in Wayanad, Kerala. We use only bio-fertilisers like Cow Dung and bio-pesticides like ‘Jeevamrutham’ and is certified (“Bharatiya Prakartik Krishi Padhathi”) by the Agriculture Department who conducts frequent inspections.
The ripen clove buds are manually plucked from plants and then dried under sunlight. When adequately dried, it is manually sorted and stored. Based on demands the cloves are packaged manually with extreme hygiene and care.
